BioWare legends to reunite at big Edmonton gaming event in June

The inaugural North American Games Industry Summit brings several figures central to Edmonton’s game-development history back together in the city where much of their influential work was produced. The BioWare reunion features co-founder Greg Zeschuk and veterans Casey Hudson, Trent Oster and Mark Darrah, with Edmonton actor and longtime BioWare performer Mark Meer moderating. Their participation connects BioWare’s legacy on games including Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect and Dragon Age with Edmonton’s current game industry. Several participants remain connected to Alberta development, including Hudson through Edmonton-based Arcanaut Studios and Oster through Beamdog. Holding the reunion as part of NAGIS also places that history within a new Edmonton-based business conference intended to connect developers with publishers, investors and other industry partners.
