About

– A Grand Epic –

Your adventure begins in Jasperton: create your character, make friends, gather your party and venture forth into Albertia, the wild heart of the magical realm of Canadia. A turn-based, party-based CRPG in the tradition of many classics, Legends of Canadia blends high fantasy worldbuilding with cozy, meaningful gameplay and emotional storytelling, all inspired by the landscapes of Western Canada. Hand-crafted with love, immense Canadian wit, style and charm.

– Keep Albertia Rat Free (or don’t!) –

Albertia was known for being RAT FREE, but not anymore. Protected by a magical barrier known as The LINE, it has one small problem, it’s got a hole, and the Ratkin are pouring through. Through your actions, decide the fate of the Ratkin, the tech savvy industrialists bent on usurping Prince Albert, the soft clawed Lord of Albertia. Do you allow them to permanently establish colonies in the final rat-free frontier, or will you do everything possible to prevent their expansion?

– Master the Magic of Music and Colour –

Train as an apprentice of the Chromatic Knights and wield colour magic against the Corruption, a nihilistic force devouring the very soul of the land: the colour that brings it to life. Every spell has a shape. Cones, lines, circles and arcs splash colour back into a drained, grayscale world with every cast, so position your party, line up the perfect blast, and paint Albertia back to life one battle at a time. And colour is only half the spellbook: music holds magic too. A roaring waterfall can supercharge your spells, and a beaver punk anthem can rattle the Corruption right out of the land.

– Recruit Eclectic Characters –

  • Riff Redwood, a punk rock Beaver whose guitar is both an instrument and a melee weapon

  • Sunrise Valleyview, a Moose with a heart full of optimism who dreams of becoming the greatest Chromatic Knight in history

  • Bit of Banffshire, a Mousekin who is afraid of everything, which is unfortunate, because he really wants to fight monsters

  • Lady Winnie Waddlestep, a Goose of impeccable manners, determined to dig up a past that someone powerful wants to keep buried

  • And many, many more!

– Features –

  • Tactical combat that paints the world back to life. Your ability is the power to restore color to a damaged land. Every hit splashes color back into a drained, grayscale world; or perhaps you want to be the force that drains the land and learn the dark arts.

  • Explore every nook, cranny for countless secrets and loot. From the slopes of the Frostfire Rockies, to wild rivers, swing across canyons and uncover secrets from the Dreaming Dunes to the Shadowed Badlands.

  • The environment fights with you. Vibrant reds supercharge your fireballs. A roaring waterfall amplifies your battle hymns. Restore the land and the land returns the favour.

  • Rebuild the Chromatic Knights. Gather materials, restore Jasperton’s fortress from a dusty museum to a mighty stronghold, recruit new Knights and send them on missions. Every nail you hammer matters in the final battle.

  • No more hoarding 99 potions you’ll never drink. Items equip like gear and recharge between encounters.

  • Play together, eh. Adventure solo with AI companions you can swap on the fly, or bring friends along in co-op for a full party of four.

  • Your time is respected. Save anywhere, retry battles instantly, and let the aggressive autosave do the worrying. Even a short session after the kids are in bed feels like real progress.

  • Choices that shape Albertia. Side quests with multiple solutions, and decisions that determine the fate of an entire kingdom.
