What is Global Game Jam?
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest annual game creation event, where thousands of participants at physical and virtual locations worldwide gather for a weekend to design and build games based on a secret, shared theme announced at the start. It’s a collaborative, non-competitive hackathon focused on learning, experimentation, and community, challenging jammers to create functional games (digital or physical) in about 48 hours, fostering creativity and new friendships.
