Alberta Game Jam is Alberta’s first and largest province-wide game jam event, seeking to help unite and empower new and current game developers in our province. Whether you’re a seasoned developer already working in the industry or a beginner looking to get started, game jams are an excellent way to get connected with your peers, flex your creative and problem-solving muscles, and share your experiences by making games! If you’re new to game development, game jams are also a great way to learn the ins-and-outs of the process and start building up pieces for your portfolio. Anyone can learn to make games, and game jams are a great place to start.

Craig Pfau

I'm Craig. I advocate for game developers in Alberta, Canada. It's been my hobby for quite some time. I created the Calgary Game Developers meetup group in 2013, co-founded the Calgary Game Developers NPO in 2015, ran Global Game Jam Calgary from 2016 to 2020 and created this project, Alberta Makes Games, in 2018. Thanks for checking out local games!
