New World Interactive is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team!  Our QA team is the last line of defense against bugs and defects in our games. Role Responsibilities:

  • Finding, reproducing, and accurately reporting issues in detailed bug reports
  • Seeks to continuously improve test processes (root cause analysis, correction, and preventions) and create and maintain documentation related to said test procedure
  • Carry out functional, qualitative, and performance testing efforts
  • Using a mix of manual and technical testing skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across the engine feature set to analyze the game’s quality
  • Analyze and troubleshoot reported defects and internal issues
  • Coordinate analysis and testing with external QA teams for cross-regional test efforts and specialized initiatives
  • Following up on bug-fixing efforts with developers to ensure proper closure and resolution of discovered and existing issues
  • 2+ years of software testing experience in a fast-paced environment
  • At least 1 shipped title in the gaming industry that has gone to market
  • The ability to jump into code/editor to fix low-level bugs (collision, geo, text/spelling errors, localization, etc.) to a degree of satisfaction defined by a lead
  • The ability to carry out automated test plans independently with little-to-no oversight which have been architected by our lead automation test analyst
  • The ability to routinely identify and attribute the timeframe and root cause of difficult-to-detect and track bugs
  • The ability to craft and implement QA tools which could assist the department with workflow
  • The ability to nurture the development of junior team members within the QA

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Passion for gaming and quality, more specifically; an interest in growing and staying in QA for the duration of our upcoming project
  • Software testing experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of test methodologies and iterative development
  • Experience in functional and usability testing
  • Experience with cross-platform testing
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to thrive while working in a fast-paced working environment, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Proven track record of successful contributions to the release of high-quality products

Additional qualifications that will move you up in the stack-ranking for considerations are:

  • Prior experience with running and designing automated tests
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, Unreal Editor, and Blueprints
  • Programming or scripting skills such as C++/C#/Python/Javascript
  • Work with product owners, developers, and QA management to define and identify requirements, anticipate risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming and existing features
  • Familiarity with Jira, Perforce, and Profiling tools
  • Familiarity with TRC/XR requirements for the current generation and next-generation consoles
